Songwriting and production trios Meduza and Goodboys have teamed up for their catchy new house hit "Piece Of Your Heart". There's a neat behind-the-scenes-type breakdown leading into the hook where Josh from Goodboys says over the studio mic: "sorry, just quickly, what if it's... da da da ah ah..." which they've tied into the final track. Though it's been a great success, whether to include this pre-drop section or not was debated by the two acts' managers. Josh explains on officialcharts.com, "One of them said you definitely need to take out that bit and the other said you definitely need to keep it in. People love that speaking bit, it's what makes it stand out."
L.A.-based band Aurora Vice explore "the darker side of the mind as the days turn to nights" on their new EP "Melancholy", the second part to their previous EP "Manic" last year. Each track on the two EPs is designated with a time. The hazy title track "10pm: Fade" on their new EP has a moody, desire-indulging theme and features a bluesy guitar solo.
Written and sung by Chandler Blasé with production by Dirty Palm and Conor Ross, "Flowers" is a melodic pop banger that reflects on a failed relationship.
