Five for Friday: 20th July 2018

SubDocta - Hypnosis
Watch yourself, or you might find yourself acting outside of your control with this new track "Hypnosis" from Reno-based dubstep artist SubDocta. Suggestive vocal samples between heavy wobbles and precise and hard-hitting sub bass (as you'd expect from the name) make for an eerie and exciting track.

Husman - Victory For Earth
The title "Victory For Earth" sounds just as epic as it sounds listening to the track. It follows in Husman's style of dramatic cinematic themes, with a great dynamic between huge lead synths and banging bass and a hybrid orchestral piece in the middle of the track. The track features as part of the Amsterdam-based artist's series of singles titled "Rise Of The Mad King". Husman sheds light on his inspiration for the project in this trailer.

DIMA - Sleep feat. Erika Sirola
Minimal, sweet production from Swedish electro-pop duo DIMA sets the perfect backdrop for Erika Sirola's fantastic, honest vocals to speak directly to the listener. Sleep is Erika's first ever release and DIMA's second, their first being equally impressive pop tune "Boots". Erika wrote on Instagram: "Proud to be a part of this project - one of the first songs I ever wrote in LA with the best @dimasongs @shaboyleo @ap_records". Check out DIMA's Instagram for some behind the scenes videos such as this cute clip. They're sure to go far with quality like this.

Ellusive & Severo - What If She Knows feat. Linn
Producers Ellusive and Severo have teamed up again for their new song "What If She Knows" with vocals from Swedish artist Linn whom you might recognise from collaborations with Said the Sky & Dabin and The Chainsmokers. The song has a lovely laid-back airy feel.

Cash Cash - Finest Hour (feat. Abir)
"Finest Hour" blends piano and trumpet with future bass forming a catchy pop track with strong vocals from Moroccan-born vocalist Abir. NYC-based trio Cash Cash are comprised of best friends and brothers Jean Paul Makhlouf, Alex Makhlouf and Samuel Frisch. They've seen support from Tiesto, Hardwell, Zedd and Nicky Romero and will be performing at Chasing Summer in Canada next month and Electric Zoo in September.
Cash Cash said of the track: "'Finest Hour' is about when you lose control at some point, when things aren't working out as planned. Maybe it's not getting that promotion, or getting fired, or losing someone. This song is about realizing that it's just not your finest hour and not a true reflection of who you really are. Acknowledging that can help you heal back to the person you truly are and get you back on the path you belong on."
