Young Rising Sons - Scatterbrain
New Jersey-based indie band Young Rising Sons have released a beltin' and catchy rock track called "Scatterbrain". With choir "waa ahh ahhs" in the background, a driving beat, guitars and synths, and soaring lead vocals, the track summons a 30 Seconds To Mars feel with an indie anthem spin.
The three-piece formed when bassist Julian Dimagiba and drummer Steve Patrick stumbled into a dive bar and caught Andy Tongren performing an acoustic set. They knew then that Tongren, an Ohio-born singer, songwriter and guitarist was what their band needed and they immediately hit it off and began gigging the NYC and NJ circuits together.
The band said of Scatterbrain: "It's the byproduct of being an emotional hoarder and carrying baggage that you know you shouldn't. Scatterbrain is about trying to balance the outside work when you're living inside your head."
