Hi all. Hope you're all staying healthy during this time with Covid-19! You may have noticed some changes around Solid Muse and a lack of daily music lately. I've been taking a short break from Solid Muse to re-assess the direction I want to take it. I've decided to halt music submissions, the Fearless album, PR and artist services work and reduce written blog content - all to focus simply on posting good music to our playlists. Keeping it simple and light (for now ;).
With that said, I hope you're still keen for some great new music! The daily playlists will resume again from today and I will be sharing our latest picks once a week on the blog. Today's track is Hermitude's "Too High". Hope you enjoy. Much love xx Matt, Solid Muse.

Canadian singer/songwriter Ezra Jordan brings us his first single for 2020 "Cliffs". Set to feature on his upcoming EP "Cheap Therapy" in April, the fantastic electro pop offering captivates us with its catchy vocals and irresistibly dancey synth work in the chorus. Explaining the track's inspiration Jordan wrote: "The central concept for CLIFFS came to me while I was standing on a massive cliff watching the sunset over the ocean in Thailand. It was a few days after breaking up with my then girlfriend, which was what inspired most of what I wrote about on this EP."
"I remember being so overwhelmed by the unbelievable beauty of what I was seeing up there that it actually gave me a little bit of hope that eventually, everything was going to be okay. However, my memory of that evening took on a different meeting when I met up with my ex 6 months later. Seeing her again changed my memory of that night to feeling like she was dangling me over the cliff and holding me hostage, instead of feeling like everything would get better from then on."
Stay tuned for the EP in April and follow his Instagram @ezrajordan for covers, jam sessions and more!

Swedish artist SHY Martin talks through fears on her gorgeous new ballad "Slow". She started writing songs and poetry as a teenager, saying: "I was never good at talking about my feelings so I wrote them down instead. When I felt sad, me and my mum wrote letters to each other about it. So expressing myself through songs came pretty naturally for me." She has since found success writing for the likes of Bebe Rexha, Kygo and Ellie Goulding and began releasing her own music in 2017. On Slow, soft guitar and piano play a warm melody underneath SHY's raw, vulnerable vocals. She leaves nothing out, singing: "Someone left me with a broken heart, that I passed onto someone and broke a new one apart." SHY released a cool behind the scenes video for the track which you can check out below.
