Dance or twerk? Bad Royale, who describe themselves as "3 producers and an idiot" and whose only dreams in life are to "create awesome music, and to hunt sharks with machine guns from space", have teamed up with Jamaican vocalist Richie Loop for this banger. They have a bunch of bass releases in the works and we can't wait to hear more.

Jalen is no stranger to pain; in his own words: "I've never felt more agony, frustration, and overall, lack of understanding at one time. I lost one of my brothers, Seiyid 'Fast Cash' Rahmaan, to police brutality in Mount Pleasant... I've lost upwards [of] ten individuals who personally had strong influences on my life. None of these losses were due to natural causes." The track features a jazzy soulful beat that underpins the emotional pull of the lyrics [...]
Can I get a hallelujah? I'm mean, a hell yeah! This track is simply overflowing with good feelings, a good morning to ya indeed. The production stands out for its American gospel sound crossed with pop and hip hop, featuring strong solo and choral vocals over an energetic beat. Max wrote this about the track: [...]
So Below drops this stellar new single Visions to enchant us. With a much lower profile than her New Zealand contemporaries, we predict this kind of quality will see that change soon. Madeline North better known as So Below creates an alluring atmosphere with her ethereal vocals over the top of superb production. She has an incredible grasp of story-telling and this track is yet another display of that art. Make sure you check it out together with the rest of So Below's new EP II which is out now [...]
In Yolngu culture dance plays a pivotal role. There's ceremonial dance, celebratory dance and then there's Marryuna; to dance with no shame, to freestyle for the sheer elation of dancing. And Marryuna is indeed what we see in this fun video clip from Arnhem Land's multi-talented Baker Boy below. The track also features a hooky chorus thanks to Baker Boy's cousin and singer/songwriter Yirrmal. It's great to hear rap with a positive theme and Baker Boy serves it up with confidence and style.

Californian band The Habits have released a great new single called "Ghost". It starts out with acoustic guitar and vocals setting the scene, before picking up into a catchy and dancey indie pop vibe. Comprised of singer/guitarist Wolf Bradley, pianist Chance Famighetti and drummer Andrew Macatrao who all grew up together and see each other more as brothers than bandmates, The Habits ground their music in bite size melodies that are impossible to get out of your head.
